INDOOR ACTVITIES:

1. BAKING

Let the baking begin, from cookies, cakes, muffins, to a making ginger bread man - "tis truly is the season" the kids absolutely love it and it can remain as inexpensive as you would like it to be.

2. "AUTUMN" GARDEN SCAVENGER HUNT:

Who doesn't love a scavenger hunt, this really tailors to the kids imagination. We do these a few times a year, you can pick up autumn pieces on your travels and hide them in the garden and of course this game can become an educational too.

3. MONTESSORI ACTIVITY:

Eek, this is fabulous, for younger children. CoCo is 18 months old and this is a great activity for him. We would of course focus on all things autumn. This activity can be reversed, so it's age appropriate for older children.

4. LEARN TO KNIT:

This is such an exciting activity and it's been on our bucket list for about a while, a year ago, we got some books from "The Works" after Christmas and they were practically free, we cannot wait to make a scarf.

5. MAKE PUMPKIN SOUP:

Yikes, we love a good pumpkin soup, the best part will be picking the pumpkins, making the soup and then carving the pumpkins. Three in one kind of activity.

6. MAKE TOFFEE APPLES:

Ha!This is again a "two in one" kind of activity, going apple picking will be in my list of outdoor activities. We make a mean toffee sauce and cannot wait to combine the two. This is a fabulous activity because you all get to eat from the fruit of our labour (Haha, get it)

7. MAKE A WREATH:

Again this has been on our list for a long time & this year, is the year, wreaths are soo easy to make. the best part in practicing wreath making in autumn is you can also make one for Christmas as well.

(YOUTUBE CHANNEL - CARACOCOANDMUMMYADVENTURES)

We will be doing a tutorial on this, so stay tuned.

8. MAKE A GINGERBREAD MAN:

Oh my goodness, ok, who doesn't love a gingerbread man? The kids (Cara) cannot wait. Ebay is a great place to buy all your gingerbread man cutter, they have great bargains, especially if your an early bird.

9. AN AUTUMN PICNIC:

Quick, get a picnic ready, grab your blankets, your homemade sausage rolls, seasonal fruits, snacks and the whole 9 yards. Get a picnic sorted before it becomes too cold. The kids will absolutely love it.

10. CREATE A PUPPET SHOW:

Creating a puppet show has been on our list for some time, creating a show surrounding all things autumn and turning it into an educational project is a fab way to entertain the kids. Building all the props from scratch and off the back of recycled boxes and other bits around the house is just fabulous for the imagination.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITES

1. VISIT A ZOO / FARM:

Who doesn't love the "Zoo"I know the kids do! We have visited some amazing Zoo's this summer and are planning to visit our top 3 over the autumn. London Zoo at Christmas is definitely on my list.

2. GET LOST IN A MAIZE MAZE:

This is an all time favourite kind of an adventure for us. There are a few maize maze plotted around London. I will be compiling a list once very soon, so stay tuned.

3. VISIT A DEER TRAIL:

We cannot wait to adventure on a deer trail, I have a few in mind and will be dropping a list soon.

4. APPLE PICKING:

Urm, it goes with withought saying that this is a standard adventure, almost a necessity, the best part about apple picking is that you not only get to eat them but all the fun really begins when you start baking with them!

5. VISIT A MUSEUM:

This is definitely one of my favourites, there are soo many FREE museums around and they are absolutely perfect for colder days. I have a list of awesome child and family friendly museums that will capture everyone's imagination.

6.HOST A BONFIRE NIGHT:

Eeeek, this has been a family tradition for about 2 and a half years. The kids absolutely love it. We aim to host this year "Bonfire Night" in our garden, the kids will get the chance to decorate the garden with me. It's going to be magical!

7. FOREST TRAIL:

How exciting is an outdoor forest trail, I mean where do you even begin, this is a total seasonal day out and brilliant for the imagination.

8. PUMPKIN PATCH

Urm, who doesn't love a pumpkin patch, we are super excited about this, and again, so much comes out of this activity. From pumpkin carving, to making pumpkin soup and lets not forget a good old pumpkin pie.

9. PLANTING BULBS FOR "THE SPRING"

Omg! We adore gardening & what a better way to stay connected by looking after

the garden by getting the kids involved in planting seeds indoors and outdoors during the autumn and winter. First on our list..Red Roses!

10. MAKE A BIRD HOUSE:

This has been on our list for a while, again this ties in with the kids feeling a connection to the outdoors and most importantly nature. We cannot wait to start building our bird house.

Which of these is your favourite?

What are you and your tribe up to this autumn?

Happy adventuring!
