Christmas Days Out: 3 Ways To Save Money This December

Christmas is fast approaching and that only means one thing, save as much as you can!

With the kind of year we have all had, I think it's safe to say that the majority of us have been a little bit more sensible when it comes to our spending.

Let's talk days out, as much as I'm a sucker for a day out with the kids, I have found myself really questioning the prices for grottos in comparison to last year.

If you can relate, then this blog is just for you!

I recently did a questionnaire on my instagram stories regarding budget days out & the response was so good, I had to write a blog about it!

PRICE RANGE:

I have noticed a pattern this year with regards to prices for Christmas Grottos.

HIGH RANGE

MEDIUM RANGE

LOW RANGE

Now, we have booked tickets for all 3 ranges this year but with great reluctance, the reluctance comes from last years price comparison and of course quality!

3 WAYS TO SAVE MONEY THIS DECEMBER:

Coming in at number one..

  1. Find Free Days Out:

There are soo many places that are still open, it's strange I have personally been guilty of not even thinking of this.

I became so fixated on all things Christmas and was so hell bent on ensuring that this was all we did.

Museums are absolutely brilliant for this kind of thing and a few museums are offering a Santa Clause experience!

2. Seek Out Discount Codes:

I'm a sucker for a bargain and actually enjoy looking for bargains.

There are a ton of companies out there that offer discount and here are a few of them -

Let's Go With The Children - http://letsgowiththechildren.co.uk/vouchers/

These 3 are just a few I look through when trying to get discounts on our days out and they are super effective & reputable websites.

3. Find Off Peak Tickets

Now, this is a really basic one, but often times these early bird tickets get sold out quickly, this year I can assure you there are a ton available still!

And how very exciting!!

These prices are not off peak prices but rather a standard price, with free parking on site, the soft play sessions last 1.5 hours, with a cafe on site you can find yourself spending a good few hours on the premises.

Under1Roof also host a variety of classes on site and online, please visit their website for more up to date information.

Ticket prices:

  • Under 1 £3.00

Oh this one is absolutely exciting, now this is one for those that are unable to leave home or just prefer a virtual experience!

I call from Santa himself!

Right, so this falls in my mid range days out, now the reason I have selected this in my life is due to the fact that it's a great price to pay from the comfort of your home

Ticket prices:

  • Call from Santa £35.00

  • Home visit from Santa's elf £35.00

Home visit from Santa's elf will vary depending on your location, please check before booking.
